Love of Torah Learning. We believe that Torah is the primary tool for accessing Jewish laws and tradition for leading a Jewish life. Our learning and inspiration draw from Chasidic sources as well as traditional commentary and Oral Torah. Spirituality. We discover meaning and significance in our daily lives through a personal, intimate, and joyous connection with HaShem. We believe that this spirituality manifests in many different ways including prayer, study, song, dance, festive meals, quiet contemplation, and performance of mitzvot. Jewish Community. We are dedicated to connection and community with Klal Yisrael including all Jews in Boulder, the Diaspora, and Israel. Openness. We recognize that there are many paths in and to Torah. We respect and value diverse Jewish backgrounds and beliefs. Within a rabbinically guided halachic framework, interaction with the diverse values and cultures of the modern world is essential to spiritual growth. Participation. We provide men and women with access to the highest levels of Jewish learning and encourage greater involvement in religious life and leadership. We promote halachically appropriate opportunities for women to increase participation in Jewish ritual and prayer, and to increase the presence of women in community leadership, educational programs, and spiritual activities. Tikun Olam. We engage in restoring the world to wholeness by working for social justice, giving charity, protecting the environment, and caring for those in need. |
