A renowned and beloved educator for over 25 years, Morah Yehudis teaches Torah to people of all backgrounds and all ages, privately, in groups, schools, synagogues and multiple community programs across the U.S. She has also been a featured speaker in Israel on many occasions. Her unique ability to convey Torah in a personally meaningful and uplifting way endears her to everyone. The only child of handicapped, immigrant parents, she graduated from Maimonides Day School with a degree in Talmudic studies. She continued her Jewish education at Beth Jacob Teachers Seminary in Brooklyn, and her secular education at Clark University. She graduated from Worcester State College in 1962 with a major in psychology and a minor in philosophy. Yehudis expands the knowledge of Torah and spiritual awareness in every community she touches. In Worcester, Mass., Yehudis taught Chassidic Philosophy at Clark University, as well as teaching Torah at the Jewish Federation and the Jewish Home for the Aged. None of these classes had ever been offered before. In 1982, she became the director of Beth Pinchas’s Women’s Studies program in Boston, and also directed a women’s conversion program at the New England Chassidic center, all while continuing to teach elementary and high school girls at Torah Academy in Brookline. Yehudis was voted woman of the year at Worcester Hebrew Day School in 1973, and again by Torah Academy in 1987. In 1987 Yehudis brought her gifts to Santa Fe, New Mexico. There she became director of the newly formed Jewish Learning Center for adults and taught in the Jewish Day School. In 1999, Boulder Colorado was blessed to become the home of Morah Yehudis. Here she became one of the first Jewish women in the world to be employed as the Spiritual Director of an orthodox congregation. In Boulder, she shares her vast knowledge of every area of Torah, from the mystical aspects of Kabbalah, to the details of Halacha, in a loving, caring soul deepening way. Yehudis teaches and councils many groups, schools and organizations in Boulder including Hebrew School at Aish Kodesh, Judaics for the Boulder Jewish Day School, Menorah, Conscious Learning Community, Hebrew High, Stepping Stones, Derech Hayim, and she also guest Lectures at all the synagogues in Boulder and many in Denver.
